Entry to this site!

I have chosen this wall picture to tell us symbolically about the title of this blog. Politics of Citizenship!
The word of politics for me is very simple. It is about how people can arrange something for their benefits together.

What is the citizenship? It is not about the study to be good citizens as what were carried on by the former regime of Soeharto with what was called "the civic education".

I would like to share lots of story of how people approaching relevant issues for bringing them to live together.

It is like the night market at the Alun-Alun in Yogyakarta. We call "pasar malam".  People want to get out for having fun with their families and friends. Then the Sultan Palace in Yogyakarta accomodates their needs by bringing together the public serive providers and common users.

Isn't true that only in Yogyakarta in Indonesia the citizens can live equally?

How can we explain about this phenomena and why in other parts of Indonesia the political situation turns out differently?

When politics of citizenship works nicely, it turns out beautifully too.

Can we learn to act politically in mature ways?
